The scientific field of sport and exercise psychology has increasingly received attention in the last two decades. National and regional labor market demands in a sport exercise and psychology field will be expected to grow 7% from 2020 to 2030.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of human resource managers is projected to grow 9 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 14,800 openings for human resource managers are projected each year.1

“What’s Juneteenth?” asked my granddaughter on our trip to Washington D.C., as I mentioned having a holiday off from work. This was but one of many questions generated by my nine and ten-year-old granddaughters on our first grandparent-grandchild road trip sans parents.
