The Computer Science Endorsement Program at Kent State University is proud to announce the continuation of a vital funding initiative through the generous support of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The program has been awarded a $1,121,951 grant for the “Choose Ohio First CS Scholarships: Building High-Demand 21st-Century Workforce Development in Big Data, Cybersecurity & Privacy, AI, Smart Systems and Devices, and other cutting-edge Computer Science fields” for 2025–2029.

This initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Javed Khan (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Elena Novak (Key Personnel), offers tuition waivers to support Ohio’s currently licensed teachers in earning a Computer Science Endorsement. This endorsement equips educators to meet the rising demand for computer science knowledge, whether as dedicated computer science educators or as leaders in integrating technology across schools and districts.

100% Online Master’s degree in Educational Technology with the Computer Science Endorsement

The online Master of Education in Educational Technology program at Kent State University prepares educators and professionals to effectively integrate technology into learning environments. Covering topics like instructional design, digital tools, and data-driven decision-making, this program equips graduates with the skills needed to enhance educational experiences and drive digital innovation in schools, corporate settings, and non-profits.

The master’s degree in Educational Technology with the Computer Science Endorsement is earned by pursuing the master’s degree with the Computer Science Concentration and gaining the appropriate experience in the Practicum.
