Financial Aid Checklist and Tutorials
Can I use financial aid for online programs?
Yes. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. To apply for aid, visit the Financial Aid website.
How do I know if I qualify for aid?
To find out if you qualify for financial aid, start by filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at studentaid.gov.
Once you submit it, you’ll get a Student Aid Report (SAR) that gives you an idea of what aid you might qualify for, like:
- Grants (free money)
- Federal work-study (on-campus jobs)
- Student loans
- Scholarships (some schools use FAFSA info for these too)
Our Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center will also send you an aid offer based on your FAFSA and any additional forms they require.

What if my financial situation has changed?
If your financial situation has changed since you submitted your FAFSA or financial aid application—due to a job loss, medical expenses, or other unexpected events—you should contact the FBE Center at 330-672-6000 as soon as possible. You may be eligible for a special circumstances review, which allows the college to reassess your financial aid package based on your current situation. Be ready to provide documentation, such as recent pay stubs, unemployment benefits, or medical bills. Each case is different, so reaching out early is key.
