National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in Nursing Education 2013-2022
The Nurse Educator graduate certificate provides nurses who already have a graduate nursing degree the additional specialized knowledge and experience for the nurse educator role. The certificate meets the educational requirements for national certification examination. All post-graduate nursing certificates are offered as space and faculty are available.
Certificates will often augment what you learned in your master's or doctoral program, so you may have completed some of the certificate course requirements already. If you include the syllabus for each completed course with your application, a gap analysis will be conducted to see which courses transfer.
This post-graduate certificate program is recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in Nursing Education 2013 – 2022: Kent State University recognized for “Advancing the Science of Nursing Education”.
1 Transcript(s) must indicate completion of graduate-level courses in advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, and advanced health assessment, with a minimum B grade earned in each course. Applicants who do not meet the grade requirement for advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, and advanced health assessment may be considered for conditional admission.
This program is only offered in select states, please see the College of Nursing Admissions tab for more information.
For more information about graduate admissions, please visit the Graduate Studies admission website. For more information on international admission, visit the Office of Global Education’s admission website.
