Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner graduate certificate prepares nurses who have a graduate nursing degree the additional specialized knowledge for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner role. The certificate meets the educational requirements for the national certification examination.
Certificates will often augment what you learned in your master's or doctoral program, so you may have completed some of the certificate course requirements already. If you include the syllabus for each completed course with your application, a gap analysis will be conducted to see which courses transfer.
This post-graduate APRN certificate program at Kent State University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in Nursing Education 2013 – 2022: Kent State University recognized for “Advancing the Science of Nursing Education”.
