A Day of Hands-On Learning

Students kicked off the experience with a tour of National Interstate’s headquarters, gaining insight into how insurance organizations operate and the wide range of roles that support the industry.

The day continued with engaging breakout sessions focused on:

  • Career pathways in insurance
  • Relevant degree programs
  • Long-term benefits and growth opportunities within the field

These discussions helped students better understand how their interests and skills could translate into meaningful careers.

Putting Ideas Into Action

One of the most impactful parts of the day came from small-group collaboration. Students worked together to design and present their own insurance programs—applying critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity to real-world challenges.

This hands-on experience allowed students to move beyond theory and begin thinking like professionals, solving problems, and presenting ideas with confidence.
