Is There a Need for Aviation Maintenance Management?

According to Boeing’s 2020 Pilot and Technician Outlook, there is a forecasted need for 192,000 new aviation maintenance technicians nationally from 2020 to 2039.1 This is in addition to the existing 160,000 already working in the field. Globally, the forecasted need is 739,000. The Bureau of Labor Statistics notes a similar US growth of 5% annually for the next 10 years, which is faster than the average.2

The Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management at Kent State University offered 100% online, will give a unique opportunity for aviation maintenance technicians to earn a bachelor’s degree while working in the field and enhance opportunities for promotion and advancement in their field.
