Dedicated Writing Time for Graduate Students — Wherever You Are

Graduate-level writing takes focus — and finding uninterrupted time to make progress can be one of the biggest challenges, especially for online students balancing work, life, and coursework.

That’s why Kent State’s Graduate College offers Virtual Open Writing Sessions — dedicated blocks of time designed to help graduate students move their writing forward in a supportive environment.

These sessions provide:

  • Structured time to focus on writing
  • A shared academic space — even online
  • Access to a Graduate Writing Consultant from the Writing Commons

Whether you’re working on a paper, thesis, discussion post, or research project, these sessions create an opportunity to step away from distractions and make meaningful progress.
