The application process is simple, and we're here to guide you through it.

  • Review our admissions checklist.
  • Complete the online application form.
  • Submit your official undergraduate transcript(s), goal statement and two letters of recommendation.

Note: You do not need to complete the GRE as a part of the admission process.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, students must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants with a GPA of 2.7 or higher will be considered for conditional admission. Contact an Admissions Advisor for more information about this process. The bachelor’s degree may be in any area of study.

Tuition and Fees

The online Master of Geographic Information Science program is 32 credits in length. The online GISc postbaccalaureate certificate programs are 14–15 credits in length.

  • In State: The cost per credit hour is $695.00.
  • Out of State: The cost per credit hour is $705.00.

An additional Distance Learning fee for all students enrolled in a distance learning course is $15.00 per hour. Program tuition and costs are estimated and subject to change.

Applicants are required to create an account in the online application system, which allows them to save their application and track the progress of materials submitted via the application system.
